Andrea trained in Bath and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1991. She completed junior rotations in Portsmouth and than Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Her first senior musculoskeletal position was in Southampton, which included orthopaedic and outpatient rotations. Andrea then spent time travelling and working abroad. She worked for a year in Auckland, New Zealand where she developed her interest in spinal rehabilitation and chronic pain management. On her return to the UK Andrea returned to Portsmouth and took up a senior position working in the NHS as a primary care team leader, which she did for 5 years. During this time she completed a 2 year Diploma in Acupuncture and has been an advanced member of the AACP since 1997. She completed a teaching qualification in 1997 and has taught regularly since at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In 2000 Andrea took on the role as a Spinal Clinical Physiotherapy Specialist for Portsmouth City Teaching PCT, which she is still currently enjoying. In 2007 she completed an MSc in Advanced Professional Development in Clinical and Health Sciences at Portsmouth University. Since 2005 Andrea has worked part time in the NHS and part time privately, recently joining the team at the Grosvenor.
